When hope recedes its place is taken by hatred,

The vacuum filled by knives and discriminatory legislation,

By settlement expansion, bombs and missiles;

Israeli and Palestinian civilians

Killed deliberately or accidentally;

Rudderless in occupation’s lethal embrace.

We are at a crossroads:

Escalation until death

Or changing course.
