On 2 November 1917, a letter from the Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour was transmitted to the Zionist Federation, promising British support for ‘a national home for the Jewish people’ in Palestine. Screenings followed by discussion will be taking place in November, including on Friday 17th November at the Birkbeck Institute for the Moving Image.
